Tuition fee exemption for French nationals
In accordance with a France–Québec agreement, French nationals are exempt from paying tuition fees for vocational training.
Tuition for vocational training programs ranges from C$8,000 to C$60,000 for international students, which French students do not have to pay in order to receive quality vocational training in Québec.
RAMQ (Régie d’assurance maladie du Québec) health insurance protection
French nationals registered under France’s social security plan are now covered for free by the RAMQ and will obtain a Medicare card (equivalent to the carte Vitale). Québec métiers d’avenir will advise you on how to take advantage of this privilege.
