Here are the different steps to follow to submit your application for admission to vocational training and prepare for your arrival in Québec. The entire process from registration to arrival can vary between 8 and 10 months, depending on the time of year.
1. Check the admission requirements
The first step of your project is to make sure to meet the four (4) admission requirements, which are age, knowledge of the language of instruction, academic prerequisites and financial capacity.
2. Choose the training program that interests you
You meet the admission criteria? Great! Now you can choose among more than 80 training programs the one that suits you.
N.B : At this point, you will be able to choose your training program and in which region you want to study. If you still hesitate, do not worry! Once your registration is done, your accompanying agent will be able to advise you depending on your interests and your needs.

3. Create your online account and fill the registration form
You are now ready for this adventure! It is with pleasure that we will accompany you at each stage of your study project in Québec. Please create your online file now, uploading the requested documents. Note that you can come back to add information or documents as needed.
Please note that the analysis of your registration file will begin once all the requested documents have been submitted and the file opening fees have been paid.

4. Consulting support and validation of your project
Once your file has been received, and if it is considered complete, an accompanying agent will communicate with you to invite you to a virtual meeting to validate your choices of training program and region, to answer your questions, and to finalize your admission application.
Processing times : 3 to 4 business days
At this point, you will beneficiate from the expertise of our accompanying agents to help you realize your study project in Québec. You will have the opportunity to talk about your entire project and to obtain answers to your questions about the training program(s), life in Québec, working, etc. Your accompanying agent will take all the necessary time to guide you to your final choice. Depending on how advanced your thinking is, this step can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months.
5. Obtaining your letter of acceptance
During the weeks following the validation of your file, we will send you your letter of acceptance confirming your acceptance to the chosen vocational training centre.

6. Procedures for Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) application
Upon reception of your letter of acceptance, you will be able to begin the process to obtain your CAQ. This application is made directly on the website of the ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration.

7. Procedures for study permit application
After the obtention of your CAQ approval letter, you have to apply for a study permit. This application is made online on the website of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
The study permit should give you the right to work off campus part-time (maximum 20 hours per week during your full-time studies) and to work full-time during holidays scheduled in the school calendar. If you have to do an internship during your studies, you will obtain a co-op or intern work permit as well.

8. Procedures to give biometrics
Once your study permit application has been submitted, you will receive by email (or by mail) a letter with instructions to give your biometrics (fingerprints and photo), within 48 hours. You will then need to book an appointment at a biometrics collection site.
It is important to note that the time you need to give your biometrics is not included in processing times for your study permit application.

9. Prepare your arrival
