My name is Laetitia, I’m 34 years old and I’m from Saint-Maine-et-Loire in Western France. Since September 12th, 2015, my spouse, our two young daughters and I have settled in Gatineau in the Outaouais region.

Our project to move to Quebec took about a year to achieve. We participated in the Forum Destination Canada in Paris which allowed us to learn more about the country’s economy and culture. I am delighted to have met students from different backgrounds. This is also Quebec’s valuable wealth. My courses are going very well. I set some goals and intend to achieve them.

My spouse Romain and I are working hard for everything to work out for the best and thus offer our princesses a living environment that is like us. And this is where we found it! Romain fulfilled his dream of becoming a trucker. Our princesses have adapted very well. The school is completely different. My 8 years old daughter feel much better and less stressed. The teaching environment is very pedagogue. Regarding his registration, everything was done there. My little one of 3 years old goes to kindergarten because here, school starts at the age of 5.

For those who want to go for the adventure, with or without kids, I would say don’t be afraid to do it. Just be organized, determined and ready to make concessions, because you will have to make some. But this is worth it. Don’t come only to get away from something, come also and especially for the country. Gather as much information as possible. Participate in forums!
