This program trains students to work with the various mechanisms used to secure buildings and increase convenience of access. Locksmiths work for locksmith and retail companies, public establishments or are self-employed.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

Assess clients’ needs.
Install, maintain, correct, unlock, replace and repair locking devices.
Develop and manage regular and controlled master key systems.
Cut lock keys (printing, reproduction or code).
Configure and program electronic keys or locks.
Install and replace architectural hardware units.
Provide expert advice.
