Carpentry
The Carpentry program prepares students to use a variety of carpentry tools while following plans, specifications and codes for the construction of residential and commercial buildings. Carpenters carry out a variety of tasks, such as laying out projects and buildings, pouring concrete footings, or building wood or metal floors and walls, just to name a few. Students will develop skills in communication, teamwork and interpersonal relationships. Carpentry jobs can be found in residential, commercial and industrial construction and renovation, as well as with heritage restoration specialists and specialty shops.
