DESCRIPTION

Students will study popular tourism destinations and improve sales skills to successfully advise their clients on the best travel options. Travel consultants interact with customers, determining needs and expectations and describing travel offers and agency services. Students will learn to give customers information on destinations, modes of transport, accommodation, and the costs associated, with the goal of selling travel products and services.

Accommodation

— Reserving temporary accommodation prior to arrival
— Help with finding permanent accommodation

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

Respond to customer inquiries about destinations, transportation, accommodation, travel costs, and recommend products that meet their needs.
Plan and organize itineraries for individuals or groups.
Book flights and hotel rooms using a computerized reservation system
Sell tickets and package tours to customers.
Promote destinations, package tours and other services offered by the agency.
Keep up to date on destinations, hotels, and other facilities and points of interest.
Advise on tourist attractions, foreign currency, customs, languages and travel safety.
